This is a view of my very first pond. I planned for a long time, then one day just went outside with a shovel and started digging that hard Missouri clay! Took me about 2 weeks, early morning till late most nights. I made many mistakes, most of them I realized ahead of time, and went forward anyway. All in all, I loved the pond.
